The Holosun AEMS Macro is the larger-window counterpart to the AEMS Micro, built for shooters who want maximum visibility from an enclosed pistol optic. Its 0.9 x 0.9-inch viewing window provides a broader sight picture while retaining the durability and environmental protection of a fully enclosed emitter system. Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System lets you choose a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or the combined circle-dot reticle, and the optic is offered in red, green and gold reticle versions. Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake, automatic brightness adjustment, memory and lockout controls round out a feature set aimed at hard-use, competition and general-purpose pistol setups.

Buying & Compatibility Notes

The AEMS Macro uses the 509T footprint and includes an RMR-to-509T adapter plate, giving it compatibility with many existing RMR-cut slides when used with the included plate. It runs on a side-loading CR1632 battery rated for up to 100,000 hours and provides 8 daylight and 4 night-vision brightness settings. The 7075-T6 aluminum housing is IPX8 rated and built for high vibration resistance. Compared with the AEMS Micro, the Macro gives you a substantially larger viewing window and a more established 509T mounting ecosystem, while also weighing slightly more and occupying more slide space.
